Sephora Face & Eye Travel Tool Kit

Sephora has this travel kit for $32.  I purchased this around Christmas time with my Beauty Insider coupon for $15 off $35 purchase.  I purchased the Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof Eye Liner in Midnight Black as well as "filler" (review on that later).

I'm the type of girl who likes makeup related to the eyes, so brushes for the eyes are a must for me! This was PERFECT! I've been looking for a long time to find a set that I liked.  Buying individual brushes is impractical (for myself and my wallet) as they retail for $15+ each. Actually, I have quite a few brushes--great quality hairs--I purchased from my local art store that work amazingly! Except that their handles are too long.


I like the fact that these are "travel" sized.  Quite honestly, I prefer the shorter handles! I like to get up and personal with my mirror to do my shading, lining, and filling and long handles just get in the way.  The bristles are soft and I haven't really had any issues of losing any hair. The handles have what they're used for printed small on them in case you forget what they're for.  I'm no expert in make up, but I like to experiment and do my research in buying affordable items without sacrificing quality.  These totally are the basic tools to play with different techniques.  That's all I need!
