These are a natural espadrille wedge sandal in the color "swamp" crochet.   I really like this taupey-nude color because it can go with pretty much any outfit for spring/summer--dressed up or down.  The ivory color is nice too.  Dresses, shorts, cropped pants, bikinis (for you whose bodies are poolside/beach ready! mine is not right now)... you name it! You won't expect these to go out of fashion season-to-season.  It's not too much on a "trendy train" with bright, fluorescent colors, or floral prints, or strange shapes.

Perfection! I loooove ♥  the color, the toe, the stiletto, the platform, the finish!

I hate how Aldo doesn't carry half sizes though. I'm traditionally a 5.5, but to get pumps to fit me at Aldo, I wear a 5. My left foot is a tiiiny bit bigger than a 5/5.5 (width-wise), so I had to use my high heel stretcher to make it comfortable. Thank goodness for that! Love them!!

P.S. The Aldo website has sold out of size 5 in bone! That was quick!! I'm glad I grabbed mine up when I did!

Nude heaven

I found them, I finally found them! THE perfect nude (aka MY flesh tone) pumps!  I've been waiting, and waiting, and searching, and waiting (literally for 2 years) for the perfect nude pair of classic pumps.  Pumps for "any occasion" that create the illusion of elongating your legs. Perfect stick stiletto, perfect platform, perfect roundish almond toe.

New from Aldo is the "Destime" in Bone ($90.00 dropped from $100.00 when I first saw them)

Ahhhh! I went to the store today to go try them in my size (EU 35 - US 5), but to my dismay that size is only for special order in that style!  So I had the salesperson get me the 6 so I could try them on just to see how it'd look on my feet, the height, and the color...it was LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.  It's not suede, it's not patent, but a soft buffed leather. I didn't want suede because I don't really feel like it's a spring/summer fabric (PERSONALLY--although I'm sure there are others who would disagree wholeheartedly, but this is my opinion) and I don't like the durability of suede.  I thought I wanted patent leather, but then I saw some other styles in real life with patent "nudes" and noticed streaking from when you accidentally slide your shoes together and scratches showing up more on the display. 

Anyhow, I bought them (in store, free shipping!) with a 10% VIP e-mail sign up coupon from their website and they are on their way home to my feet... excitement!

Booties

I wanted to write a quick review on these booties I got last December

Super comfy and well balanced! Soft leather and my feet feel secure in this cute little booty with pointy little heels (I love stilettos!).  They're not quite true stick thin stilettos, but they've got a modern, sturdy edge to it with the slightly thicker rounded top nearer the heel.  And I love that it's GRAY! My fav color!  It's a lower cut bootie, so if you're used to those kinds that wrap around your ankle, it might take some getting used to in walking around in these as you won't have "ankle support."  I kind of like the freedom, rather than restriction of movement of my ankles though. ^_^

I had to order these through the store (free shipping) because they didn't have my size in stock.  One thing to note is that it looks like the leather was "stained" the color gray because when I lifted under the straps I saw some obviously lighter patches of gray stained leather underneath on the body of the shoe. hm... oh well, totally unnoticeable if you leave the straps in place.  I bought these with a bunch of gift cards I collected for my birthday and Christmas.  Happy belated birthday to me!
